I am signed up for MAE 301 (Thermo I) for Summer Session I with Kuznetsov.

It appears that they just added another section with Echekki teaching it.
Echekki seems to have better reviews on school tool, can anyone recommend if I should switch sections or not?

don't know anything about Echekki, but I would highly recommend not taking anything with Kuznetsov

kuznetsov isn't that bad. i kinda hated him at the time, but looking back, i realize i really learned the theory well.

too bad boles isn't teaching it.

I took Kuznetsov for MAE 310 and the only reason I learned anything was because of Sid Becker (his T.A. at the time). I personally would try to get someone else, you will use all of the theory from MAE 301 for MAE 302.

^also, as long as he would shut up about "Mother Russia". Talked about dual-paned windows in Russia like nobody else in the world has them. He also still holds a grudge against the USA for beating USSR to the moon

HAHAHA i just realized that the whole time i was talking about kuznetsov i was thinking about kleinstreuer



i only had kuznetsov for heat transfer and that was only about 3 or 4 classes. he sucked.

i was amused by kuznetsov...but i agree that he wasn't the greatest of lecturers.

then again, i thought echekki was a lousy teacher, too. all he did was read from the text...

Echekki, was easy, and he at least tried to teach the material and test what he taught... this was for mae 302

Kuznetsov, is hilarious, but he doesn't seem to care about teaching, and there was a huge curve because he tested alot of stuff we never did homework or anything for and was never really sure what to expect... this was for mae 310. My buddy had him last summer for mae 301 and I think he came out alright.

the rule of thumb for thermo is if you didn't have boles for thermo 1, dont take boles for thermo 2

i had kleinstreuer for 301 and didn't have a problem in 302 with boles. i actually really liked his teaching style and the way he tests.

i had Echekki for fluids and i learned NOTHING.
i dunno how he is for thermo but after that experience i would never want to take another class with him.
