Hell, I've always had a problem with the term african-american because it does not describe the one thing people seem to think it describes, THEIR SKIN COLOR SON.

I will never forget when I was in Canada trying to be PC, back when I cared about that shit (I was raised that way my sons). I said something about an "African American individual" and I got the biggest shitstorm of anger I've ever seen. They were yelling about how they are NOT American, blah blah blah. I told them they are American in the sense that they are in the Americas, lol. Anyway, the point is that this PC crap is ridiculous.

Why can you call me white, yet I can't call you black? What is so inherently wrong with being called black or white? I could care less.

To me, the term "african-american" describes an individual who is from Africa and is now living in America. Thus, in my mind that retard was likely the ONLY real african american in the room. The other people in the room (All of them, regardless of color) were simply Americans of African descent.

The dude was asked! to identify himself in a class room on culture. He said he was a white African-American, which is exactly what he is. He's white, he's from Africa (born and raised right?) and then moved to America. He didn't go out of his was to make this a big deal, but the school and his peers did and he got fucked for it.

This guy is completely in the right. In fact, it is laughable how seemingly intelligent individuals affiliated with a professional school could be so amazingly asinine.

However, one would think that if one had worked so hard to get into medical school and complete the two most trying years of study, he/she would have just swallowed his/her pride and continued on with his/her career. Not saying that stance is "right", but he is allowing himself to be screwed over, and with no chance of every changing a single person's mind. This is America, after all.

i'm fairly sure that much of the black population in Jamaica came about due to the slavery going on in america at that time. huge slavery deal going on there too.
