What does anything in the original post have to do with my civil liberties? 5/15/2009 5:00:01 PM |

You don't think that the run away spending by the government, with no accountability, which you will pay for with higher taxes is eroding your rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? You don't think that the government bailing out private industries and becoming partial owners in these companies using twisted and distorted readings of the constitution is a violation of your rights as specifically outlined in the constitution? 5/15/2009 11:18:02 PM |

No, of course not, my right to those are still as in tact as they were the day the founders came up with that. We the people are still free as ever to vote these dicks out of office. No, instead we would rather sit on a message board and drum up outrage from our pedestal of superior ideology instead of actually being real agents of change.

Hey, anyone is free to sue anyone they please to the highlest level they needed. You act like the game playing done out of DC is any different than the game playing done in private business all over the country every single day. There isn't any real difference to my well being in a banker fucking the country up while having a politician in his pocket and the politician fucking the country up by himself (or, because of the banker).5/16/2009 7:05:26 AM |

I know I'm shocked that Citigroup is raising base pay to compensate for bonuses. I couldn't have ever imagined this was coming. I think it's time to write my congressman again. 6/24/2009 7:30:03 AM |

Try leaving the country without a passport. Or selling alcohol. There is no question our liberties have been eroded, the question is whether it was a bad thing.6/24/2009 9:14:43 AM |
