I am selling this for my mom. It belonged to my dad before he passed away and she no longer has a use for it. My dad had a really nice reef set up in it, and I am including all accessories to set up a reef of your own.
Included:
-Bow Front Tank. Not sure of the size, but I think it's 35 gallons or more. The tank does have some scratches on the inside of the glass from the coral.
-Nice wooden stand/cabinet
-Lighting fixture, including bulbs needed for coral and anemonaes.
-Canister Filter. I don't have pictures or info on the filter yet, but I will update this thread when I get them. I just know it was expensive.
-May or may not have the protein skimmer. I'm not sure if my mom got rid of that or not.
OK, here's the catch. My mom wants this to be picked up at the yard sale she is having in Greensboro on June 16th. So I'm just putting this out there to see if anyone wants me to hold it for them. She is looking to get at least $150 for it.

That's what I thought as well, but my mom couldn't remember. I told her just to fill it up halfway with gallon jugs and double it just to make sure. So I should have an answer on that in a couple days. 5/15/2009 11:53:44 AM |

I actually have some 5 gallon water jugs that I used to do water changes in my tank. I will probably just take a couple of those over there on Sunday and get an accurate capacity. 5/15/2009 12:01:13 PM |

I'll talk to my moms and see if she would be willing to split it up. I think she is trying to sell it all together. 5/15/2009 2:29:07 PM |

Update:
The filter is a Rena Filstar XP2 canister. Here are the specs on it. I have all the pieces to it, just don't have the manual.

Also, she is including the protein skimmer, heater, and a power strip. It's literally everything you need to start a saltwater tank, minus the water and the fish. 5/17/2009 1:18:38 PM |

Here is a picture of the actual filter. There is also an unused bag of activated carbon included.
My moms went to our LFS (Aquamain in Greensboro if you want to check it out) today and priced this exact set-up without the filter and protein skimmer, and they wanted $410 for it. If you know anyone in Greensboro that is looking to get into saltwater/reef tanks then please forward this to them.
Oh yeah, and I got the exact size. It's a 36 gallon.

I fully expected to put it on Craigslist today anyway. I just put it on here to give TWW aquarium folks a chance to grab it first if there was any interest. 6/6/2009 8:40:21 AM |
