So I am looking for an apartment for Fall 09. Thanks to wolf web and apartmentratings.com I have found Wildwoods of Lake Johnson to be the most desired and nicest apartment complex and although I was excited at first of going to wolf village I have realized I really shouldn't.
It will even more helpful if you can share what the nicest apartment locations near campus are. Maybe where you live in now, been there for a party or may have heard of.

if you like hearing gun shots every night, then sylvan park apartments on marcom st. is great. has a high crime rate too if you like getting robbed.

Couple of my friends (non twwers) recently moved into Rhyne's Gate, its supposedly pretty nice. Right on the edge of the ghetto, but I think you're going to get that anywhere really...unless you go to UVillage or something out there near lineberry/tryon

i also liked the summit at avent ferry
but we found what i think is going to be the best arrangement on craigslist!

i went to a couple of parties at uvillage and wolf village
i´ve visited the oaks and rhyne´s gate
they were alright, but not super impressive
the links and remington place were nifty

I lived in Sylvan Park for a couple months -- as did ReceiveDeath, tartsquid, edistance, one of the bartenders at Ruckus, and this hot redhead chick I would've totally nailed.

I don't think anyone got robbed, but there were mad mexican children running around in the parking lot.

^^ rhynes gate is pretty hood too. right across from the center mckimmon...corner of sherman and gorman...that little hood ass dairy mart attracts all the stragglers from the area. someone got knifed in the parking lot when i was there, lots of smashed cars, lots of people walking around your car at night. shade-city

--however, i lived at the raleigh apartments my other year, it was pretty nice. the buidlings were older so the bathrooms and kitchen were lame, but the living room and bedroom was huge. cheap rent, super safe, great location, decent staff, etc.

the links might also be a good option. i never lived there, but they were pretty nice inside.

I live at wildwoods now, the staff is really nice and it's in a great location. It's also cool that the trail is right beside the complex. Prices are pretty reasonable too, especially for 3 BR

I lived at Sylvan Park for two years and never got robbed. Shit, I used to walk home at night from the wolfline stop and nothing ever happened to me.

Well, other than some guy stopping me and putting his finger in my bellybutton while he talked to me; that was weird, but not life threatening.

This was 2004-2006 though. Maybe it's gone downhill since.

^ i never had any trouble there either and i used to walk home late at night too. we did have a transvestite mexican dude/girl come by the place and ask for matches a couple times, but that was about it.
