I don't know. Alabama cops can be assholes, and I feel cops should be held to a VERY high standard but this guy DID just lead them on a 50 mile chase. It wasn't like they beat him incessantly, it looked to me like a "this guy just ran 50 miles, lets make sure we got him" thing.

Pretty easy to see nothing is going on when you already know he's unconscious because CNN just told you and you're ready for what is about to happen, but that is a completely different scenario from running from your patrol car with your adrenaline pumping.

Agreed... Honestly, if I hadn't known before hand he was unconscious, I probably wouldn't have noticed. Most of the brutality looked like the cops were just falling on him. Well, except for the guy closest to the camera with his back to it, he was pretty much beating the shit out of the guy's head.

When you're involved in a chase it really gets the adrenaline going, it's not easy to be calm at that point. The bastard just about ran over the LEO with the stopsticks, tack on the crime before the chase and I'd say he got off light.

it's not their job to punish the guy. that's what a court, jury, and prison is for.

the police should be using force if the person is resisting arrest...and at that point in time when the guy is unconscious, it is impossible for him to be resisting arrest.

if anything those police officers got off light. they should have been fired, and then tried for attempted murder themselves.
