Candle Box put on a pretty good show and so did Jimmie's Chicken Shack. They said they will be playing at the pour house in July. I've never been there, so it might be an excuse to go.

Last night they cut the show short because of a short thunderstorm. They didn't get to play "Devil Went Down to Georgia." I was also shocked by the crowd that showed up. A lot of people were wearing colar shirts and I never saw a rebel flag, or NASCAR clothing.

first and last time i'll go out there.

we got there at 8:30, had a horrible time and left at 10:30... as we drove out of the parking deck it started falling a flood, so glad we left before that.

i guess i can't really complain too much about a free show, but we were disappointed. sound setup was horrible, too crowded, no real order, some people sitting in random places, some people standing in random places, seems like only the first 20 rows of people (that you couldn't get to anyway) were there to listen to the music

I think it is a cool idea but a bad execution. They need to have it in a park with a natural amphitheater set up so that everyone can hear and shit. I had fun walking around though. The rain sucked, but we just went to Tir Na Nog and hung out there the rest of the night.

I have been to 2 of these so far and I have discovered that straight back from the stage no matter how far back you are, sounds better than being off to the side.
