my baby girl will be 11 weeks old this week!

She learned how to roll over this weekend! We can't keep her on her stomach for tummy time anymore! She is rolling over like a boss!

I video taped her rolling over, and discovered how awkward my "baby voice" sounds ha!

We found out Wednesday that my 13 month old is a Type 1 Diabetic. We had a rough end of the week last week with her in the PICU at WakeMed trying to get her electrolytes balanced and her glucose under control.

If you notice your kids have excessive thirst and urination, please have their glucose checked. Ava's symptoms showed up about 3 weeks before she was diagnosed.

I gave Parker a bath today and was surprised when I dried her hair. I thought it was pretty much black but when it's fluffed up without any oil it's brown with a hint of red.

It's still almost hard to believe that I got to take her to her first day of kindergarten. I've had hal2f-custody of her for months...but it's still a little surreal that the field is level and I'm finally an equal parent.

She beat me in a game of Memory the other day. I think the score was 19-17. She had gotten fairly close a few times before, but never had actually pulled off the W. I avenged the loss 24-12 in the next game.


She's playing T-ball now, too (did soccer last year). She can hit pretty well, but not great at the fielding. BUT, she can run--there's one other girl on the team...she can start on 1st base and my daughter can start at home plate, and if they start running the bases, my daughter will catch her by the time they're back around to home plate.

I think I've mentioned here before that she has ran a mile without stopping a couple of times with me.

Holy shit. Ive never been able to run a mile without stopping. I used to have breathing (nose structure) problems and foot problems but now I'm just plain out of shape.
