Well, thanks. I didn't much care for babies before him, but I don't know that he's all that much cuter than the others...? They all look alike to me.

I wish Tess had been that gentle. But she was beating and kicking before I could even feel her (as I realized in her 20 week ultrasound when she punched and kicked the machine but I felt nothing).

I'm glad I'm not the only one who experienced that. In the ultrasound we could see her flailing about. I had a pepsi that afternoon to ensure she would cooperate so we could find out girl/boy. But still, I felt nothing. I didn't start to feel anything until around 24 weeks and then it wasn't flutters really- more like little hammers inside there. haha.

I would say I went from a little ouch to I thought my insides were being ripped apart. Last weekend, I can finally feel the guy on the outside which is super cool. (My husband is ticked because everytime he tries...nothing)

Yay third trimester is here

^The game of "I can't feel it!" will continue for a while. Tess would always stop right when MJ went to feel her moving.

Oh, and took a video this morning while we were chilling out on the floor:

I felt one of the boys moving the other night (dancing to Alice Cooper's "Welcome to my Nightmare", they're already making me proud).

we've also got a very active little guy. his arms and legs never stop moving. we put him in one of those stationary jumper things:

he's really started to notice our animals and wants to touch them. i'm sure they'll steer clear of him when he gets a little better at grabbing fur.

We spent about 20 minutes outside playing in the sprinkler. I wish that I could have kept him outside longer, but little dude is like the fairest kid ever.

My wife has discovered she can rest her iPhone on her belly while playing games.

Baby B seems to have subsequently discovered that he can kick said iPhone off her belly.

I think he's just not an Apple fan.

^Will you have a house divided (Baby A is a Mac, Baby B is a PC)?

And using my belly as a place to rest things was probably the biggest benefit of being pregnant!

The best part for me now is how our daughter can do some task one day when she was not able to do it the day before. It is simply incredible.

On 7/10 aged 1 yr 4 mo she suddenly started putting shapes into one of her shape sorters correctly and deliberately. And this is a difficult one; a hollow sphere with 12 different holes on its surface, with several polygons and curved shapes, even two different triangles. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her putting them in because she wasn't able to do it the day before! And they aren't even color coded.

16 month old daughter LOVES 70% cocoa dark chocolate, been having it for a few months now! (even 72% with chilli last few days )

I love dark chocolate too, but heck, even my limit is 60%... find the 70% too bitter

Here's a pic of my daughter Vivi who is 16 months old...

Tess will be 8 months on Wednesday. She didn't start crawling (just rocking and scooting), but today she started pulling herself up. She's so proud of herself.

17 months old now, and picking up pace with various mental tasks.

She can do simple 2-piece jigsaw puzzles for a few weeks now (7 animals each made of 2 pieces, all pieces put in front of her mixed up and she matches them).

Another skill she recently developed: We have a set of cards with pictures of actual animals on them, one per card. Each card is repeated a few times in the set. I lay down one of each unique card in front of her (8 different ones), and then hand her a card from the rest of the pile. She puts it on top of the matching one in front of her. Then I hand her another one, and so on until she gets tired of it.

She is really fascinated by animals and can say several animal names and/or make their sounds. And lots of food names as well. Some in English, and some in my language.

Last Saturday, when she finished her cheese stick, she went to the kitchen, opened the cabinet under the sink, threw the wrapper in to the bin, and then closed the cabinet! Amazing how they can do things which they haven't been explicitly taught!

Yesterday I gave her some of my tea (strong black tea with milk) because she was asking for it and throwing a tantrum when I said no. She loved it and wouldn't stop drinking!

I'm 33 weeks and 2 days today. Kensie is getting bigger every day- and so am I! I'm so excited and nervous at the same time! It has gone by pretty quickly, but I'm going back to work tomorrow and dread being on my feet all day in the third trimester like this.

^how is your swelling. I have lost use in one of my hands as it is impeding some of my joints. Standing is he worst. I am a chemist and I used to stand at my bench all day. Now I make sure to sit with my feet up. Have you found anything that works?

I can make indentations in my body esp. my legs by pushing to move the water around. I have no idea how I am going to make it to Oct. 4th.

^I worked in a lab as well while pregnant. I remember being exhausted, even while sitting at the bench. I still had to elevate my feet every evening. Not to mention that it became impossible to work on the microscope because my belly got in the way.

^^ My wife's swelling has been consistently a problem from like 10 weeks until now (around 31 weeks).

We're checking her blood pressure daily as a result, it's not in the high risk range, but it is significantly elevated over normal.

Our twins are at 3 pounds 15 ounces and 4 pounds 8 ounces as of Wednesday. It makes me feel good because at our twin birthing class they had some folks come in who already had twins all had babies smaller or the same size as ours are now(the biggest they said was 4 pounds).

It's just kinda lame that they're getting too big and too crammed in there to get good pictures during the ultrasound.

35 weeks and 1 day now.

Swelling hasn't been too bad compared to what you're explaining. After a day of teaching, I can't see my ankles anymore and have to elevate them, but I can't make any indentations yet. My blood pressure has been normal so far. I've really started gaining weight this trimester and am pretty miserable. I don't know how I'll make it until October 5th- much less working until then. I'm hot all the time and can't get comfortable in any position- sitting, standing, or lying down. Now I've started itching all the time- even the bottoms of my feet! It's so weird.

I'm at the point where I'm still excited, but I'm more and more scared every day. I try to read about everything to be at least somewhat prepared- I guess I thought the more I knew the more confident I would feel- but it isn't working.

My due date is also October 5th! But this is my 2nd, and will be a repeat c-section, so we've got a delivery date of September 28th. Hang in there with the swelling and take it easy... just a few more weeks to go!

My blood pressure has gotten to be out of control. I was given one week to see results or I am going on bed rest.

I got a doctors note for work because my doctor wants me no longer working full days.....

I am suppose to drink over a gal. of water every day and lay down as much as possible.......Oct. 4th is not coming fast enough. On a side note, my baby shower is tomorrow and I am super excited.

^^^ My wife (and myself, as a result) are in UNC Hospital this weekend due to her blood pressure. It was consistently 140+/90+ so they wanted to do some tests and didn't want her bringing the material in during a holiday weekend when it might not get attended to in a timely manner so the OBG/YN (who is very much an anti-alarmist, and still isn't actually worried at all) just went ahead and had her put in for 24 hours (which has since been extended to about 48 because of a second doctor and some pre-term steroid shots).

So yeah, WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

BTW, Cat's been trying to drink 2 gallons of water a day, with moderate levels of success. The number she read online is that you should halve your body weight and drink that number of ounces of water.

^OMG good luck to her and you both! Oh and def. good luck to the babies!!

Mine blood pressure before baby: 110/60

It was consistently that until about a month ago. Then it went up to 120-130/80ish.
I got sick 2 weeks ago and am still getting over it. The lowest it was in 2 hours last Wednesday: 125/98.

I have been following orders this weekend and making trips to the corner drugstore to use the cuff. While I realize it isn't perfect, I figure as long as I use the same cuff I can gauge the readings against each other.

All weekend it was been 140-160/95-115.

Wednesday they will start talking about my options I guess. I am 36 weeks Tuesday. I will die on bed rest...I guess I will start trying to get 2 gallons of water down. That seems like so much!

How long was her blood pressure high before they sent her to the hospital?
