I am in a 12 team keeper league where we lose a draft pick +1 from where the player was drafted last year. I have to finalize my picks before our deadline and I am debating on keeping Wes Welker and loose my 4th rd pick.

Here are my other keepers :
--Matt Forte (3), Kevin Boss (13), Matt Ryan (15)

Many top WRs are being kept so i thought it would be wise to keep him. However it is NOT a PPR league. Basic scoring, yds, etc. Here are the ones that are bing kept by other teams.
--Moss, C Johnson, R White, L Moore, A Boldin, G Jennings, Eddie Royal.

Good idea or bad? The issue is I am relying on my first two picks to be my stars, probably something like 1 RB and a top WR or RB, for picks 1 and 2. Thx

That was my toss up keeper and figured around then I'd be getting a TE and it's one less thing to worry about. I have a feeling Eli will use him more this season without Burress and yes the 3 tops ones were taken, Witten, Gates, and Gonzo

Boss has a bright future. The Giants running game will be down from last year which might make more opportunities for catches, plus the lower standard of receivers helps. I don't know if this will be his breakout season, but he will be great eventually.

No you can only keep a player 3 years. So if a player was drafted in the 3rd and you lose the 2nd draft pick the next year and the 1st the following if you keep him again. After the third year you lose the player back to the draft pool.

You can't keep any 1st rnd draft picks and for waiver pick ups you lose your last pick but can only keep them for 1 year. We can only keep up to 4 players. So it's advantageous to pick a good player late or a random sleeper prospect mid rounds, like a rookie over a proven vet.
