I know you are probably familiar with the long standing legal case of DISH vs. TiVo on patent infringement. What I want to know is the ruling this week stated all but 193k of the newest units would have to be deactivated by DISH. The only thing stopping this is a temporary injunction, which may not last until next week. In that case is my VIP722 going to lose the fucking functionality I paid a premium for, and continue to do every month? Anybody been following this more closely and have any more informed opinion on the matter? Just curious as I have pretty much stopped watching TV unless its previously DVRed.
