For Emma is such a strong album. I haven't listened to it in awhile...it's kinda "winter music" to me, but it was in constant rotation for months. The Blood Bank EP is good too, pick it up.Hopefully we should be seeing another Full Length this year. and check out Cedarwell if you haven't before...he's similar and enjoyable

i'd call him similar in that he sounds more like bon iver than, say, cannibal corpse, but they're pretty different. i'd probably compare him to seth avett first but i'm still pretty new to cedarwell.i really like this video though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9Sg-HSh-Ck[Edited on June 5, 2009 at 9:15 PM. i was kindof disappointed w/ blood bank, but i fucking love for emma, forever ago.[Edited on June 5, 2009 at 9:12 PM. Reason : are you not as metal as i thought??]

As an album, For Emma is far and above bloodbank...but I bought the vinyl of the latter and it gets a lot of play time. weird though that he pressed it at 45 instead of 33...got all the way through a side convincing myself i liked his new ultra slow/low approach before i caught on [Edited on June 5, 2009 at 9:18 PM. Reason : i'm metal as fuck.]

isolation, depression, anger, dynamics, minor key...he's metal without the blast beats
