they need more swing dances, nuts to line dancing, i like watching the good dancers bust a move, inspires you to try some new things, rather than just do some cliche stuff

My wedding music was the shit. (of course i liked it because we picked it) We specifically told the DJ not to play the cliche music and group dance music. Our groomsmen/bridesmaids were introduced to "whole lotta love" by led zep and they played the song from 2001 a space odyssey when my wife and I were introduced coming down the grande staircase at the Museum of History downtown. (Ric Flair used a version of it)

the ceremony music was cool too. we played over the rainbow when the bride walked down, my friend rocked out "maybe I'm amazed" on the piano during the ceremony, and we left to "all you need is love" ... all of these were played on violin/viola duet.

My last name is Brickhouse. Whenever that song comes on at a wedding everyone turns around and is like..."OMG...its your song!!" No its not. I'm not a big, busty woman. Tell the DJ/wedding band to suck it.

Was at a wedding last weekend. The DJ was pretty much playing nothing but the songs in this thread. Yay.

And I can't believe no one has said the Cha Cha Slide.

i'm not sure what dance pros are friends with you, but usually swing music results in the same bad dancing you see at any wedding, only people get hurt swing dancing.

We've already decided that we are not hiring a professional DJ. An Ipod will be DJing for us.

Our wedding is in two months, and we've created a playlist for the DJ. He will play nothing but what is on our list of ~200 songs.
