I actually watch this show to get some tips on how to teach basic literacy skills. I'm hoping to become a volunteer tutor at LVA here in Atlanta, teaching math and science for GED prep. I've got my orientation coming up in July...I think it would be much more rewarding to help out these folks than to teach a 500-level power system modeling and analysis class at Georgia Tech.

what's more rewarding, helping janitors become custodial engineers, or ushering bright minds into R&D with the potential to better the human race?nothing against the fine folks getting their GEDs but I'd want to be part of the movement

^ Partly true. There's a fine balance that must be made between shifting the bell curve to the right (where everyone benefits) and skewing it to the right (where the closer you are to the top, the more you benefit). Do you make the pie bigger or give people more equal slices?

I enjoy watching BUS 425 on the distance ed channel.

actually, moving the janitor to the right probably has bigger payoff because he will pass that shit on to his kids.
