This has been happening quite a bit. On days that I play basketball when I go to lay down and my neck moves a certain way I get a brutal pain on the back right side of my neck... to the point where it takes a few seconds for me to be able to move it out of that position.Seems like this could be a pinched nerve. Anyone have something similar? Any way to remedy it?

I'm the same way...not saying it's the only cause but this has happened to me in the past...scares the shit out of me, I know popping your neck doesn't help but it feels sooo good

I get something like this except I feel a ripping sensation in my neck and can't move it for a second on account of the awful pain.I, too, crack my neck. The pain isn't in my bones though, I think it's some muscle/tendon that isn't holding out too well, lol.

i landed on my neck pretty bad when i was a pole vaulter in hs and i get this from time to time. sometimes it'll hit me out of the blue and shoots down my whole right side.

one time i was jumping at this school that had a pretty old track and the planting box had a few holes rusted in it so when i went to plant the pole it didn't hit in a good spot and caused my trajectory to be all fucked up. i ended up landing on the corner of the mat and then hit the ground. but the worst part was they had these trenches dug next to the mat to pour concrete later and where i landed there was a wooden stake in the ground. i was inches away from impaling my balls.
