So, I'm using google talk and sometimes have gmail open in firefox at the same time.

Sometimes, when I'm chatting and have both open at the same time, gchat and google talk fight over who gets to open what window and receive what chat line.

Does anyone know of a way that I can setup googletalk to be the primary gchat client and to keep stuff from opening up in firefox?

1. click turn off chat at the bottom of your gmail page

chat is off and it still comes up

if chat is actually off - it is impossible for it to come up

now only if you add http://www.orkut.com to that, we got more chat windows open and the fighting continues
