back in high school there was this one black girl in my women's chorus class who sat right behind me my freshman, sophomore, and junior years. she was a year older than me and a complete bitch. she talked shit about me non-stop, picked on me relentlessly, kicked my book bag across the room just for giggles - i mean, she was a real bully towards me, and i never really understood why i was the "lucky" one. but boy, she tortured me any way she could.

so today i went to Sam's Club in Morrisville with our office's admin to get supplies for the office. and guess who our cashier was?!

it felt so good seeing her there, making $9/hr as a Sam's Club cashier at 28 years old. probably got 4 kids by 3 different daddies, and probably living paycheck to paycheck given the state of her weave and her poorly kept acrylic nails. i mean, she was such a bitch in high school, and obviously the way she treated me has stayed with me all these years. and it felt great to see how well she's done for herself.

and yes, i'm well aware of the stereotypes i just perpetuated in that last paragraph, but this is chit chat...what do you expect??

I used to work at Sam's Club as a cashier... granted it was the summer after i graduated high school, but I actually did enjoy the job... talking with customers and coworkers. I worked there the next summer as well.

I too was picked on in middle school. She was just a stupid kid in highschool back then, who knows what has happened in her life since then. My guess is that when she thinks about how mean she was to you in highschool she feels bad about it.
