Hush Puppies:

Speaking of which. Who puts butter on your hush puppies? I know I do.

I used to, not anymore. Anyone ever had the cornbread stick things at some place named Wiburs near Goldboro? Would those be considered hush puppies?

^^^ Wilbur's blows. Don't ever go there.

People from Goldsboro are literally ashamed of that place, and for some reason everyone from out of town is like "OH MY GOD I WANT TO SUCK WILBUR'S DICK HIS FOOD IS SO GOOD"

Last time I went to Sanitary they had sticks. I wasn't a fan. But hell, that was probably 6 years ago now

I introduced it to some people down here. I just was wondering how common it was. I can't remember not putting it on them.

I'm not really a hush puppy fan, but when I eat them I have to have butter on them. They are just too dry otherwise

I know when I first moved here from PA I was completely against all southern food. But now I like pretty much all of it. Come to think of it, there isn't really much food that I DON'T like

you can keep your collard greens though

cornsticks are nowhere near hushpuppies. they're sticks of flavorless cornbread.

I usually dip every other one in the primary sauce for my meal. (cocktail if they came with seafood, hot sauce or vinnegar bbq sauce if with estrnbbq)

/weird

hush puppies dipped in cole slaw ftw

but cole slaw must be either of Bill's BBQ or Parker's BBQ origin (or whoever makes theirs the same)
