If you defriend someone on facebook, they wont know about it unless they look on their list right, its not like its posted everywhere n they get a message

but no, they only know if they look at their list. i don't know who actually does that, anyway. unless you remember the # of friends you have and then look at that # every time you log on. and THEN you'd have to know all the people you were friends with to figure out which one defriended you.

so they could probably figure it out. but seems like a lot of effort!

I know when someone defriends me because I actually do remember how many friends I have. It normally takes me a few weeks to figure out who it is, cause I'll think about them and try to look at their page and it won't be on my list anymore.

Worse than being defriended is being taken off someone's top friends on myspace. It's so insulting...like last week I was one of your top 8 friends and this week I'm not.

defriending just takes too much effort for me, and I don't post super important friends-only information on there so it's kind of pointless to defriend someone unless you just want a sick internet burn for them to feel in 2 months when they finally notice it.

I only noticed I was defriended once because I put the facebook application on my blackberry, and it came up with one girl who I had her number in my phone from... shit, probably 3 years ago... it said "Add her now!" and I felt sad for a moment.

one of my exes defriended me in one of our post-breakup fights. a couple weeks later she re-added me. then a couple months later we had another fight and i defriended her. she messaged me and said to add her back like a week later, and then i was all no thanks we're not really friends anymore. and then we made up and now we're friends again. thus ends my defriending history
