i am having my own summer kick off party holed up in a tiny bedroom in my beach house trying to make the pathetic window AC unit PLEASE for the love of god blow out semi cold air (or just circulate the air at all). at least for 3 minutes before my sunburned body withers up and dies.

soon i'm going to the ocean. but the trek across the scorching sand, though less than 25 yards, seems like crossing the sahara at this moment. no breeze ftl. and the flies are having like a celebration...no breeze and hot, sweaty, salty people = scrumptious feast. and i'm totally lacking in obama's swatting skills.
