Okay, here's the problem:
I need to be able to search death records of Wake county, NC. The one in particular I'm looking for appears to have been posted in the N&O, but it was in 1999, and Legacy.com (which is what the N&O main page links to) only has records as far back as 2000. Besides, I'd prefer a searchable database, because I might not even have the right person.
Ancestry.com is a total bust. It keeps bringing up things that aren't even remotely related to what I'm searching for.
Anyone who can help me out would be much appreciated.
(Of course, this whole thing might be short-circuited if anyone knows of someone named Amber, who was a teenager, who died in a car accident in or around Wake Forest in probably between 1999 and 2003. Now you see why I'm having problems...)

If you go to the main public library they should have microfilms of the N&O.

go to the wake county register of deeds?

they have all that on record, u can look up anyones death including autopsy info and whatnot
