Quote :
" A soldier internationally known for fighting the Taliban in his pink "I Love New York" boxers and flip-flops is back in Texas this morning.

Nineteen-year-old Army Spc. Zachary Boyd of Fort Worth arrived on Fort Hood early Friday morning, after being deployed on a peace-keeping mission in Afghanistan.

"It's definitely a good feeling to be home... get to see the family on a very important day of course," Boyd said as he stepped off the plane.

In May, Boyd was asleep in his tent when his platoon was suddenly attacked. That's when he jumped out of bed without his uniform and started firing at the enemy.

"They gave me a lot of grief about it" Boyd said about the pink boxer picture, "but out there they use anything they can to give a guy some grief."

Army Cpt. James Howell said, "That platoon was obviously very close, and I think Boyd showing up in his pink boxers really shows how dedicated those guys are to each other.""

I had a favorite kind of boxers. They were soft, and not too stretchy where they creep up where they don't belong, and not too ridged where they crush stuff if you move the wrong way, and quite breathable. But the last pack I got, they'd switched to fabric like you find in a fabric store, that stiff papery stuff. I was like, WTF? So now I gotta find a new brand I like.
