What beach near the Wilmington area can I avoid the crowds?

oak island will have fewer people there, but you'd have to go really early to beat the traffic in ad out of wilmington. easer just to show up to carolina beach or wrightsville beach at about 6am and stay til you can't stand the crowds.

not near wilmington, but just fyi: it took my parents 1 hour 40 mins to get over the bridge and 3 miles down hwy 58 at emerald isle.

yeah, im really glad i didnt go
