Sitti will be hosting a beer tasting tomorrow night (thursday July 9th) with Brooklyn Brewery. If you havent been to the restaurant yet, you should really check it out. The tasting will be in the outdoor courtyard behind the restaurant.
Special pricing will be available on the following beers, along with flights of all four available for $10. -Summer Ale $4 -Lager $4.50 -Local 1 (750ml) $17 -Local 2 (750ml) $17
Brooklyn Brewery representative Jason Gavin will be present from 530 until 8 to provide insight and answer any questions. He will also be bringing up to 4 different beers from Brooklyn's private stock. Some of these beers do not exist and are strictly for promotional purposes. The "Wild One" for example is a Local 1 brewed in a Woodford Reserve barrel and then re-fermented with Brett.
Come enjoy our outdoor courtyard, great food and cold beer from 530 until 10. 7/8/2009 12:06:17 PM |

The Summer Ale and the Lager are normally atleast a dollar or more higher than the sale price... the Local 1 and Local 2 in the 750ml bottle are easily sold for $20 or more in most places...
We will not be selling the specialty beers as they are for promotion only. All you have to do is ask about them and Jason will be happy to sit down with you and taste them. So come buy a beer or 2, ask about the specialty ones, and you will get more than your money's worth. 7/8/2009 12:30:51 PM |

Local One is $18 at the Times, which means it'd probably be $20 at Sitti. 7/8/2009 12:32:12 PM |

haha, I was about to post that. Personally I think it's stupid to buy bottled beer at a bar that serves beer on draft, since you just end up paying twice as much for something you could buy at a store. If I want a bottle of Local 1 I'll go to College Beverage and pay $7.99 for it instead of $17 at a bar. It's cool they're sampling the special Brooklyn beers though, I might try and make it to this so I can try some Dark Matter.7/8/2009 2:14:16 PM |
