This is for one of my classes....
Does anyone know all of the books in the New testament where Jesus' birth is foretold...so far I have

MAtthew 1: 18-24

and Luke 1: 26-38

Does anyone know if there are any more before I start analyzing?
I figure someone here might be able to help. or at least try...

and yes-i googled as an precaution and I couldn't find any more...maybe some of you are better

Wasn't the New Testament written after the birth of Jesus?

If so, how could it foretell his birth?

The Old Testament, i.e. Stein's book, is where all the prophecies reside. I remember that Elijah specifically prophesized Jesus's birth.

^ x 3 At Campbell. Baptist School.

^^gotta be New Testament.

I really do think I have them all. But Sometimes I tend to be a bit sloppy when it comes to recalling information.

there is Matthew 2:1-12 and Luke 2:1-40 but I don't know if your other Matthew and Luke verses cover those.

I knew there was some in Isaiah prophesying about him but I I think you just want NT.

If this is something they're making you do while pursuing becoming a doctor of medicine at Campbell, I'm going to just avoid physicians from there entirely from here on out.

The only books (in the New Testament) would be Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as they are the only books that have events taking place before Jesus's birth.

There a lot more references in the Old Testament.

Actually Matthew 2:4-6 is a foretelling, not just a story of birth. Like it's a bunch of people and they're like, "where is our Messiah going to be born...Bethlehem." roughly translated of course.

Funny story, I love pharmacists

(and not in a "holy shit, I'm dependent on drugs" way; in the "holy shit, you guys make a ton of money" way)

So are you required to be a certain religion to go to Campbell?

Well, maybe not required, per se, but did it come up in your application process?

^x 4yeah that's what I was thinking too.

i really just wanted to make sure that

a) i wasn't overlooking one for some reason

b) there wasn't one in Acts (since that is the spread of Christianity, it still may have some historcal episodes)

i figure the epistles and the apocalypse are out.

Yes sir. A bible based religion. So I am actually conditionally accepted to Campbell. pending the completion of this Introduction to New Testament and Accounting 200.

That's all the important stuff.

Ironically, ignoring the former makes you better at the latter!

"1 Corinthians 7:2-6 states:

"Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: [It is] good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

"Defraud ye not one the other, except [it be] with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. But I speak this by permission, [and] not of commandment. ""
