In regards to the comments made about the use of memes such as wtfbbq, orly, and the dinosaur quote I agree people will not know what the fuck that stuff means...but is that so bad?

if we advertised you can shoot the shit in chit chat, discuss serious issues in soap box or even sell old treasures in classifieds people would immediately dismiss the place because this day and age they have about 1million other outlets to do all of that.

while the memes and insides jokes may not be understood it may promote a sense of mystery and generate some curiosity that leads to people checking out the site just to find out what all of that stuff means. when i join it was the ubiquitous spray painted website with no explanation that made me come here. ultimately this is a place where you can come and bullshit and our work displays just that.

i don't think our concern should be if whats written attracts chics or is going to alienate people, because the girls who would be offended by the stuff written wouldn't last long here anyways and the people who would shrug the expressed memes as faggy wouldn't either.

our biggest concern should be content generation for the next few days. that'll be more influential in keeping people around and breaking them in than anything we could possibly write.

also i should have printed out fliers with that girl from the hottest freshman thread on them and had thewolfweb.com listed on them. that would have definitely found us new blood and would have led to some quality drama as well.

yeah, i think the amount of meme included was probably about right. at first i was pretty opposed to any meme painting, but when i think about it, back in the early days when i first saw tww on the tunnel, there was a lot of inside joke stuff painted then too.

i think all this self-shame needs to go. tdub is awesome and despite what many people on here like to think, it's not a bunch of social retards who sit at their computer all day. a lot of people know each other, and are interested in meeting new folks, as was clearly evidenced last night.

However, there are very people people maybe just one or two that I have met on tww that are actually kinda weird. The rest are very normal and fun people.
