The car levitates before the wheels completely fold under and provide lift to the body. Obviously this is impossible on a street and the result of movie magic. What I want to know though is, would this be possible on a stair master?

The wheels don't provide the lift, they just fold under for aerodynamics.

Wheels protrude from the side roughly as much as they do from the bottom. I don't see drag reduction being significant.
