Anyone else signed up on here yet? It lets you keep track of all the gadgets (basically anything electronic) that you own or want. It was made by the guys that created gizmodo and engadget. There goal for the site is that eventually every gadget will have a community where you can go and ask questions about it and stuff. Seems pretty cool so far. 7/19/2009 6:36:48 PM |

i just joined and wanted to rate one of my gadgets. but i was required to write at least a two hundred word review. i didn't really feel like it. i suppose i could have just made up stuff. like many probably will do to get over the 200 word limit. can you not just rate the products that you own without writing a paragraph about it? 7/19/2009 7:03:20 PM |

I signed up. I even added my laptop to the database. This website is cool, it will become he wiki of all electronic gadgets. I have been listening to the gdgt podcast for over a year. The website surpassed my expectations. I think it will take a little time to gain traction but overtime will be a go to site for anyone who is remotely tech.
Also, this is one of those websites thats like, why didn't someone create this 5 years ago. 7/26/2009 9:32:24 AM |

I did, but it was before Youtube and crowdsourcing became popular. Back in the days when people wanted to get paid for writing knowledgeable reviews and opinions. Which made it impossible to get content, because everyone thought their shit was worth gold (oh the .com days).
Good on them though, this has been a long time coming.7/26/2009 10:58:36 PM |

You tried this for what, 2 weeks Tyler? I remember the site and the reviews you were doing, I just don't remember very many of them.
I started a blog back in 1998 when I got to state so that my extended family could follow along. I did it for about 1.5 years until I got bored with it. Little did I know this was about the time that blogging started really getting popular. 7/27/2009 8:47:37 AM |
