So, apparently the new season of Hell's Kitchen starts tonight at 8pm

If we didnt have the dvr set up to automatically record new episodes we wouldn't have known that it was restarting. Maybe I dont watch enough FOX or maybe they've done a bad job advertising this season. Either way, this is one of my favorite shows so I wanted to give everyone a heads up

I don't think that they have been advertising it that much. I like the show but have started to get tired of it, each episode could be about 30 minutes long but they do so much "when we come back from the break..." then they come back and its "heres what happened before the break"

yeah, me too. It's the only reality show my wife and I watch. Mostly because we like Chef Ramsey, I guess.

Overall, the show is pretty contrived and predictable (although, not as predictable as Kitchen Nightmares), and a lot of the people are really annoying, but we still enjoy it.

different shows. Hells Kitchen is only marginally "about" finding good chefs, as should be plainly seen by the initial line-ups. Top Chef is about finding, teaching and training gourmet chefs. Hells Kitchen is like The Real World, where they try to put a bunch of explosive personalities in a room together and hope some of them can figure out how to cook by the end of the season.

When Amanda took Suzanne's fish up to the pass, they show Ramsey yelling at her, and Tek is in the back of the kitchen cooking. She appears later, as well, but I don't recall exactly when.

As I recall, he did that in past seasons, as well. I can't necessarily blame him; the contestants are likely to get rid of the best cook, whom he probably wants as his next chef.
