I need advice for roulette. What are some tips for winning? Apparently it doesn't help to grope the dealer.
7/24/2009 10:45:57 AM
put it all on black
7/24/2009 10:46:27 AM
the only way to beat roulette is to just watch and not play.it's got a terrible house advantage dear.
7/24/2009 10:46:38 AM
all you need is a rainman
7/24/2009 10:47:07 AM
i have a tip...play a game you have a better chance at winningblackjack, for instance
7/24/2009 10:47:17 AM
Don't play roulette. Good tip.
7/24/2009 10:49:04 AM
yeah blackjack is ftw.. especially if you can memorize the blackjack charts
7/24/2009 10:49:23 AM
you dont have to memorize shitthey're required to allow you to have strategy sheets on the table if you want to.
7/24/2009 10:50:44 AM
blackjack isn't even that hard...by far the easiest game to "win" at
7/24/2009 10:51:24 AM
I won $50 from roulette last night. I can't do cards. I get drunk off of one glass of wine and then forget where I am and what I'm doing. Games that involve luck are best for me.

if you can stomach the stupid sigma value on 3 card poker the optimal strategy is as easy as it comes, and the house advantage is roughly half as high as roulette.and speaking of retarded variance, craps can be played in an optimal fashion to reduce house advantage to lower than blackjack, but it's all dependant on the house rule on number of odds allowedand your gut to be able to put a min bet on the pass line and max odds behind.[Edited on July 24, 2009 at 10:55 AM. 7/24/2009 10:53:03 AM
How do you play craps? And why would odds be better? And how do you play blackjack?
7/24/2009 10:55:14 AM
craps is embarassingly complex for a beginner, but true to vegas tradition, a girl who doesnt know how to play is considered a huge good luck charm.
7/24/2009 10:56:14 AM
7/24/2009 10:58:02 AM
I just need a game where I can sit there and look pretty. And drink and win some $$$. So, a girl who doesn't know how to play will bring good luck to herself or to others?
7/24/2009 10:58:57 AM
craps is all about the tablewhen the table wins, everyone except the assholes betting against the shooter win, so everyone's extatic and partyingwhen the table is losing, it's a bunch of crumudgens that hate lifeit can be the funnest game in vegas by far, and the most excrutiatingly painful on those downswings.if you just go up to a table that's partying, you've got to wait for the "come out" roll, which will be indicated by the big white disc being flipped to "OFF" on the side, and not on a numberput a min bet on the pass line, stand behind it, and just wait for them to give you money or take it [Edited on July 24, 2009 at 11:02 AM. Reason : not optimal at all, really, you need protection beds, odds bets, and come bets. but im lazy]
7/24/2009 11:01:13 AM
Pshoes, that sounds easy enough. Will try!
7/24/2009 11:03:07 AM
that episode of breaking vegas on the craps throwers was bad ass
7/24/2009 11:05:42 AM
7/24/2009 11:07:15 AM
if you dont know how to bet and actually play then blackjack is a hard game.its more to it than "hit me"
7/24/2009 11:08:08 AM
They have single zero tables on some cruise ships and in Europe, thats the only place I'lll play
7/24/2009 11:09:26 AM
the best card counters in the world shift the edge from - 0.53% to approx + 0.45% over the course of a long enough sample size.however, that's why card counters have to have huge rolls, to withstand the variance.... bet big when the push is up to approx +5-7%, and your ev is easily calculated.even the best card counters are still holden to the bell curve.blackjack is actually one of the purest studies of basic probabilities that's out there.[Edited on July 24, 2009 at 11:11 AM. I hear lil wayne make it rain.

place bets on (1st 12) and (2nd 12). That basically gives you a 66.67% chance of winning. the returns will be slow, but steady. I did this on a video roulette machine, and ended up being up 15 dollars in about 20 mins. ( i know that doesnt seem like a lot but i was only betting like like 2-3 bucks at a time, and hey, at least i won money, obviously the more you bet the more you'll receive faster).
7/24/2009 11:25:29 AM
Shit. I just found an extra $100 in my pocket. Apparently I won $150 playing roulette last night. Sooo effin wasted last night.
7/24/2009 11:30:16 AM
last time i played roullette in vegas i was blackout drunk, apparently spilled an entire glass of cranberry and vodka on the table and they had to move everybody, along with that and other things ended up getting us kicked out of the mirage... where we were staying
7/24/2009 11:31:33 AM
how was Asher Roth?
7/24/2009 11:31:47 AM
Let me give you some advice. Always bet on black tax evasion]
7/24/2009 11:33:15 AM
We skipped Asher roth. Kid cudi was fucking insane though. And B.o.B was really good, but green. And not my fav kinda green.

it was about this guy: http://crapschampionship.com/dombio.shtml

Put your money on either 1-18 or 19-36 followed by 2 of the three 2-1 columns at the right of the board. You get paid even money on one followed by 2-1 on the columns. You only lose on 8 numbers. You won't win quick but you'll have a lot of fun sitting at the table drinking.
7/24/2009 12:15:48 PM
You should bet in clusters. Look at the wheel and pick your favorite number and then bet the two numbers to the left and right. It will help you have a better advantage (but could lead to losing more money)
7/24/2009 12:24:13 PM
i don't play this game... nor do i play crapspretty much cards only
7/24/2009 12:25:23 PM

I played roulette for all of 30 seconds last night before realizing I was too drunk to be playing anything. at least I ended up $50. I want to find a $3 min. table somewhere to play tonight and make small third table bets.
7/24/2009 12:35:00 PM
you might have to get off the strip to find a 3 dollar table unless you guys have already seen some. that, to me, would be ideal.last year i could only find a few 5 dollar tables and it was a hunt for those
7/24/2009 12:40:33 PM
since vegas added the 'previous winning numbers boards' on the roulette tables, the house advantage has increased. that's because people believe the myth that there are colors or numbers that are more likely to hit based on previous winning numbers. But each roll is an independent event, and the color and number drawn before it has no effect on the next roll.(thanks ST 101)
7/24/2009 2:10:50 PM
7/24/2009 2:14:02 PM
Yeah there is definitely a pattern.
7/24/2009 2:14:47 PM
7/24/2009 2:15:47 PM
his analysis is completely flawed.since it is in fact an independant event, it doesnt matter for shit if people bet on what they feel is comming next or not, or what hasnt hit recently.past is irrelavent, and the house advantage is exactly the same. they've made more due to more people playing, but i assure you, the percentages do not change.
7/24/2009 2:16:24 PM
But if two in a row land on red, the next to have to be black! 50 / 50 chance!Law of probitability
7/24/2009 2:16:58 PM
^^ Yes, now that you mention it, he did contradict his own previous statements with the statement I quoted and addressed. ]
7/24/2009 2:17:16 PM
what a ding dong.
7/24/2009 2:17:39 PM
lol... If I flip a coin 20 times, getting 'tails' each time... what's the odds I get 'heads' on the next flip?[/are you smarter than a 5th grader?]
7/24/2009 2:19:03 PM
I've been working on my color counting for the roulette tables in vegas next month!
7/24/2009 2:19:20 PM
increase the odds, use 5 bullets instead of 1.
7/24/2009 2:20:48 PM
set em up
