I won't say it's my all time favorite cover, but the Flaming Lips and Stardeath took Borderline by Madonna and put their bombast all over it.

i kinda really like the sonic youth cover of superstar

even though its in the juno soundtrack

i don't know if it is my favorite (i'm sure it is not) i just really like it.
