wow. 2nd thread today. weird.

ok, i havent gotten my hair professionally cut and colored in a pretty long time.
i'm going to set an appointment today.

im thinking going very streaky, i think, with possibly three very different colors (think-pretty radiant red, dark prown, and a light carmel) and i think i want bangs.

i've had bangs before and i liked them, but i cut them and i also them too short.

i'm really digging this style:

minus the unevenness....

i'm making the appointment in a few hours (for next week).

any suggestions? plz feel free to post examples. actually i would <3 it

I think the colors would be awesome...although I'm not sure what dark prown is.

Bangs are a bitch to grow out so make sure it is something you really want. If you ever sweat at all or get your hair wet they look like hell too.

^i cut my own bangs pretty damn short about this time last year. i liked them-but i think i would have liked them more if they were a little longer and thicker, but i was nervous because i was cutting them myself.

it took about 3 months to grow out completely so i don't think im not too worried. i'm gonna keep the length of my hair though!

here's a pic for reference (these were taken after they had grown out for about 3 weeks or so)

yeah, right now my hair is dark brown, with black panels underneath with large caramel-blonde streaks in the middle of my hair (not like highlights...they're peekaboo colors that barely show through the top). i might keep the same color and just go for a more drastic cut.

I think you can do streaks but try to make them look a little more natural. Bangs are an awesome idea. I have mine layered but I think that is what makes it uneven. Idk. Your hair is pretty keen and I love how you do different things with it.

I usually go to the hair salon and tell the girl do whatever you want as long as it looks good (got my hair cut short last time and it's great!)

I used to do three colors in my hair - a very bright "rocket fuel" red, a darkish blonde and a dark brown... I loved it, but a heads up, the red will fade all over the lighter color, so be careful or you'll end up brassy. Lots of COLD showers haha.

I really like the colors Jen posted. Though I wouldn't do the straight hair like that.

I am pretty much anti-bangs. I recommend not getting them cut like the pictures.
