Can anyone suggest who is better instructor among Min Kang and Kazufumi Ito

if you are going into any discipline that requires understanding the principals of diff eq then i would NOT recommend Hong

take it with a grad student if you can. just find an instructor name for which there are no GDRs from past semesters and that means it's most likely a grad student.

I am a grad student and this course wont contribute to my GPA
I want a good instructor so that i can understand it well and apply my knowledge from this class in my research work.
Anyone having ideas about the way these two guys teach

they're probably telling you to go by grade distribution because effective teachers are more likely to have decent GDRs

Ito was my adviser. Ito is a solid teacher and he is prepared for class. I had Min Kang for 412. Min Kang is a GREAT teacher and you will definitely learn MA 341 from her; however, she is tough. You can't go wrong with either, but I'd probably definitely give Kang the nod.

TAKE MIN KANG !!!

Very organized, fair tests, will always answer questions

Just make sure you attend EVERY lecture!
