Fat Tire is too expensive for my tastes, so I haven't tried it yet
7/28/2009 2:38:07 AM
^ it's pretty good, as is mothership wit, 1554 and skinny dip
7/28/2009 2:40:33 AM
Fat tire is really not all that expensive.
7/28/2009 1:21:14 PM
hey idiotmothership wit is fucking terrible. it's the foulest tasting beer i've ever hadi didn't even finish my 5 oz sample at the beerfest. i straight poured it out right in front of their booth
7/28/2009 1:23:38 PM
IT'LL GETCHA DRUNK

Fat Tire is good, it's not the second coming of Jesus or anything. there are many beers i enjoy more.Sam Adams does indeed brew some quality beers. again, there are beers i enjoy more.
7/28/2009 5:08:37 PM
Seriously-- Sam Adams is a Honda. Good. Utilitarian. When Ferraris only cost $3 more for a six pack, you look pretty retarded making threads raving about how awesome Hondas are.[Edited on July 28, 2009 at 5:14 PM. Reason : ]
7/28/2009 5:09:23 PM
i ain't trying to get all beer snobby in here.
7/28/2009 5:10:18 PM
7/28/2009 5:12:27 PM
if sam adams is a honda, does that make pabst the ford fiesta?
7/28/2009 5:12:44 PM
I think a Fiesta would be a malt beverage.
7/28/2009 5:15:35 PM
nah, malt liquor is a bicycle
7/28/2009 5:17:00 PM
i love riding a bike every now and then.
7/28/2009 5:18:45 PM

Car analogies are retarded. And Sam Adams Winter Lager is awesome.
7/28/2009 6:39:43 PM
i've had better beer, i've had better beer stateside, i didn't mean it was the best ever, just that it ranks up there with the best i've had and that more of the best beer i've had has come from sam adams, i had the black lager and blackberry witbier this weekend, and im about to try the irish red, the black lager is really much worth trying.
7/28/2009 7:14:41 PM

7/28/2009 7:15:59 PM

7/28/2009 7:19:57 PM

I can credit Sam Adams with introducing me to the fact that there are several varieties of beer and they do pretty well at making most of them. Since my awakening (several years ago) I've brewed a few batches of my own as well as gone to every beer fest since 3 days after I turned 21. Though Sam Adams is now much lower on my respective list of great beers, I still appreciate them for turning more people on to microbrew and beer in general. Side note: Jim Koch really does well to promote the homebrewing spirit, even by going so far as to sell hops (during a hops crisis) at cost to craft breweries. He also has worked out wholesale deals for people to buy entire homebrewing kits, and further encourages them to submit their entries into a homebrew contest. This may sound like a damn infomercial but he really has contributed a great deal to the world of beer.
