If they need love, earn it.
It's like getting a job: if you place no value on making yourself attractive and competitive in the market, why on earth is it okay to expect other people to put forth effort into assessing your worth? Basically, if it matters to you enough, and you aren't getting what you want, you'll put forth some effort into getting what you want; otherwise, it clearly doesn't matter to you that much.

Note that:
1) I'm not saying that skinny, or even not-fat, is equal to worth. This ties into basic self-respect and acknowledging that some responsibility lies within.
2) I'm not advocating shallowness. I'm advocating initiative.
3) This may seem hypocritical coming from me. Seem? It probably bellows hypocrisy, and has neon signs. And I'm not going to go into the reasons here why it's not, in the interest of brevity and staying on topic. Not right away, at least.
4) I fucking hate the typical fatty-acceptance-movement arguments/tenets.

I mean, I'm not saying it's easy to change one's weight, and depending on factors involved, it's CRAZY and epically difficult.

But being single isn't the end of the world.

the only way i buy into the "not how skinny or fat but healthy" thing is if she works out like 7 days a week, eats like 2500 calories a day, and still is like 30 pounds overweight. then you KNOW its the genes, but like ^ said, some ppl just are fuckin lazy

OK, so I just finished watching Episode 3. I'm all for big people finding love...obviously because I'm a big girl. But honestly, does every interview/event/date have to center around the fact that everyone is fat? I mean, these girls have so much more to them other than "I'm obese" so why only focus on that? It's driving me nuts. I realize this was the whole point of the show, but you'd think they would try to develop the girls a little more. All they ever show them talking about is "I never had a date before", "Guys don't like me cuz I'm fat", "I want a guy to like me for who I am"....etc.

But there's several cute girls on here, and the guy ain't so bad. I'll watch it 'til the end.
