I don't even like swimming, or Michael Phelps for that matter, but ESPN has had these stories about swimming and they're all about how MP is losing and he's just not wearing the latest technology suit because he's loyal to Speedo.

For one thing, all these world records are being set at the World Championships, but it's probably just the suits these swimmers are wearing. But I say if suits make that big of a difference, force everyone to wear the same suit, or at least the same suit technology. Then you don't have these stupid disputes about what suit so and so is wearing. It's just a way for swimsuit companies to get their name out there.

The swimsuits have already been banned, but apparently the rule won't take effect for a few months or something.

It's a big deal because the latest speedo (phelps' sponsor) swimsuit was banned, but the one everyone is setting records on was not. That means the best swimmer in the world is getting beat not because other swimmers are better, but because of their equipment--which is bullshit.

Why do you care if it's on ESPN? Would you rather watch more brett favre or michael vick stories? Maybe they can show more highlights of routine double plays...
