i think it is a way for them to not have to round up for every cent somebody uses the thing for. i'm just curious that if it takes 4 dollars on my debit card... if i spend 1 dollars is it going to still count as a point? or if i spend 5 dollars is it going to count as 2 points?

overall it kinda sucks what they get anyway. i saved up a ton and got a 100 dollar gift card to best buy. that was a lot of point considering i dont' use my credit card a lot and i probably pay that in interest within a year anyway.

yeah randy, the whole "4 dollars = 1 point" thing is only going to apply to purchases over $4. if you spend $3, you get nothing. if you spend $7, you get 1 point. it's a way of them NOT giving out as many points.

they are changing the way they do points after today. and after speaking with them ( wachoviapossibilites) on the phone and bank employees too, to not lose points im going to spend them today. they are going to do a point per $4 spent and lower the needed points to earn prizes and make it as close to what they already have but you may lose a few points. im not happy with this or wachovia in general lately so i may switch my bank account to someone else soon

you would get a seperate account on the new card. but you can transfer them over... it just won't be on the same account.

yes i read them and thats why im spending them today!

i called to make sure it was $4= 1 point and to see if by chance they werent going to make it completely suck and let the money carry over like if you spend $5 and then $3 would combine but of course they are not. like thumper said. the new rewards program sucks.

i doubt it. BB&T passed the gubment's stress test and they didn't get tied up in the whole predatory lending shit, so they're not hurting to pull in new money like other banks. i can give you her office number and she can tell you what's up though.

With my bank's rewards program, I just go for the cash. I've gotten $75 for 7500 points a few times now, but I have no idea what the ratio is.
