I dunno if many of you have ventured into Feedback Forum lately, but Frosh has switched from providing us entertainment in the form of scathing commentary to a Greasemonkey plugin that works even better for blocking users than the previous one.The former plugin only blanked the post out, but you could see who had posted. It didn't block that users threads. With the new plugin you can make it so that users simply don't exist. It can completely remove their posts and threads so you don't even see them.It also has some other nice features as well, but for those of you that are sick and fucking tired of Euphalo and other forms of faggotry, this is what you need.

i can't see this thread...
8/3/2009 12:29:20 PM
there'd be like 5 threads left on the 1st page of chit chat[Edited on August 3, 2009 at 12:30 PM. Reason : i need it to block their CB posts and PMs as well]
8/3/2009 12:29:47 PM
Rofl, yeah, I have 3 users blocked and that is taking out 14 threads on the front page at the moment.
8/3/2009 12:32:08 PM
Oh shit son, I'mma get my hands on this.
8/3/2009 12:38:20 PM
sucks that RD made the thinking thread
8/3/2009 12:40:26 PM
DID YOU NOT WANT TO THINK SON?
8/3/2009 12:45:03 PM
i like posting in it and reading it, but i would also like to block all of rd's threadsthe dumbest part is quagmire or somebody made another one before him, but the mods picked rd's
8/3/2009 12:46:13 PM
nah, he made the first one, i made the other one, but too much complaining[Edited on August 3, 2009 at 12:51 PM. Reason : first of the new ones that is]
8/3/2009 12:51:03 PM
yeah, if I recall the creator of the competing "thinking" thread asked to have theirs locked, leaving RD's
8/3/2009 12:55:50 PM
If you guys have feedback, please leave it in my thread in the Feedback Forum. Let me know if you install it, and give me a rough idea of what kind of environment you're running it in (e.g. what operating system, what version of Firefox, what version of Greasemonkey, etc.).For your convenience: message_topic.aspx?topic=572234[Edited on August 3, 2009 at 1:05 PM. NA NA NA NA I CAN'T HEAR YOU!I'M SO FUCKING COOL I CENSOR PEOPLE!
8/3/2009 1:51:32 PM
that's not really censorship
8/3/2009 1:52:24 PM
there's a big difference between making it so that folks can't speak and making it so that folks don't have to listeni see people protesting shit all the time on tv. by changing the channel i'm not "censoring" them.
8/3/2009 1:53:36 PM
^^^You are both mistaken
8/3/2009 1:55:03 PM
as a general rule, i think it's retarded to block usersthat said, there were (are) some times when blocking would have been nice, when certain people kept (keep) posting disgusting/inappropriate/whatever pictures all the timei think not dnl is blocked by default using the plugin, which is dumb
8/3/2009 1:56:10 PM
No legitimate arguments going on this morning?Because this one is leading no where but trollville.

i, too, am so busy that scanning tww for threads to post in takes up a significant part of my dayblocking users is a GODSEND, i don't know how i got by without it!
8/3/2009 2:13:55 PM
this may make tww even MORE fun now. just depends on how you look at it.
8/3/2009 2:14:52 PM
As noted in the FF thread, there is a new release: http://jlhamilt.freeshell.org/better_wolf_web.user.jsTo block someone with this release, click the "Block this user" link on their profile page. You can also unblock them this way. There is a menu command to reset your block list as well.
8/3/2009 2:15:13 PM
^^ You've been here for over 7 years. Thats a shit ton of collective crap you could that could have never existed to you had you had a block plugin. Don't be a dick.
8/3/2009 2:25:23 PM
8/3/2009 2:26:13 PM
if i were not a mod i would use the hell out of this.frosh, can you make it so that i can be toggled on and off for certain sections?
8/3/2009 2:28:46 PM
awesome sauce shit right here
8/3/2009 2:34:37 PM
holler. totally using this. thanks!
8/3/2009 2:36:47 PM
I might could make it super easy to disable the script for certain sections, but it'd be a low priority for me since it'd be a low priority for most users. Plus, I couldn't very thoroughly debug it without being a mod.
8/3/2009 2:42:18 PM
frosh, can you do the thing where it'll block all of bubblebobble's shit except the thinking thread?
8/3/2009 2:48:16 PM
Here is a very simple change that will accomplish just that. Replace this line:
threadsToBlock = $('.thread_by_' + blockedUsers[i]);
threadsToBlock = $('.thread_by_' + blockedUsers[i]).not('#thread_565539');
8/3/2009 2:54:28 PM
i'm not really sure how to get to that stuff, but i'll give it a shot when i get home where i have firefoxthanks
8/3/2009 3:01:40 PM
Go to Tools, Greasemonkey, Manage User ScriptsThen you'll have the ability to edit the script. It will probably ask you which editor you want to use, and you'll have to browse to where your wordpad.exe (or notepad) is located. And just change the lines and save.
8/3/2009 3:06:25 PM
scoooooooooooooooped[Edited on August 3, 2009 at 3:17 PM. Reason : thx]
8/3/2009 3:07:07 PM
alright, thanks.
8/3/2009 3:07:21 PM
the biggest problem i am having with the script is my damn notepad not recognizing the returns.everything is truncated to about 10 lines
8/3/2009 3:13:14 PM
Use wordpad and take word wrap off.
8/3/2009 3:16:08 PM
how do i switch it now that i have set it to notepad?
8/3/2009 3:16:39 PM
You don't have to edit the file via the greasemonkey button. Open wordpad then open the file via wordpad file open dialog.Do a save-as from notepad to find out where it is being stored.Alternatively, you can type about:config in your url barsearch for greasemonkey.editorand clear this and it should give you the option again to change it (or just edit the path right there).[Edited on August 3, 2009 at 3:20 PM. Reason : .]
8/3/2009 3:18:41 PM
I do not and will not block anyone. But I'm really excited to see what comes out of this.
