I have a 1.33 ibook g4 that has a red tinted LCD. You can see everything fine, just wayyyy too red everywhere. Video card tested fine on an external LCD and all the normal mac resets and OF updates didnt fix it, nor did reimaging.

Didn't know if anyone has seen this before, ive been in repairs for forever and never seen anything like it on an lcd at least.

well its not worth an LCD replacement, id sell it as is instead. I was just wondering if anyone knew for sure it was the LCD, hoping there was an easy logic board problem i wasn't aware of.

not sure about an ibook g4 but I recently bought an LCD replacement for my 15" macbook pro and it was like $220 (this is just the LCD btw, not the bezel around it)

You happen to have one of two models of iBook that take a different LCD than everything else (1.33 and 1.42). The screens aren't that expensive, but they are pretty hard to find and a pain to replace (cable routing on those things is a mofo).

Might as well just replace the whole screen assembly, they only run around $80 shipped on eBay.
