You give her a smiley face?
8/5/2009 10:43:51 PM
Tell her thank you...duh!
8/5/2009 10:43:58 PM
Make sure you keep it clean. Put it through the dishwasher once in a while.
8/5/2009 10:44:25 PM
be ungrateful and tell her you wanted a zune
8/5/2009 10:44:51 PM

i mean, i guess it's pretty neat. it can play videos and shit. but i can only see myself using it when i mow the lawn or run on the treadmill. i dunno, just seems like it is more trouble than it's worth.
8/5/2009 10:46:57 PM
what kind? touch?
8/5/2009 10:47:18 PM
nanothe scary thing to me is that it has 4 times the storage space of my first laptop, and I can fit it in my wallet.damn i sound old[Edited on August 5, 2009 at 10:48 PM. Reason : a]
8/5/2009 10:48:15 PM
why wouldn't you want one?
8/5/2009 10:48:33 PM
i guess because i can't really think I have much of a need for it. I mean, I'm a really social person, so I could never be one of those dudes sitting on the plane/train zoning out to an iPod
8/5/2009 10:50:05 PM
i am really social too but i like my ipod. especially on planes. i like to sleep on planes after awhile.
8/5/2009 10:53:45 PM
I fly like once a year at the most. and the longest flight I have taken my whole life was all of 2 hours. hardly worth it. by the time I am done reading SkyMall the landing gear is down.[Edited on August 5, 2009 at 10:56 PM. Reason : a]

it is also good for big cities toono one likes a chatty kathy on the subwayand what about working out!!! way better than a discman/walkman (please tell me you don't still use one of those). plus you can use it in you car, etc.
8/5/2009 10:58:38 PM
mine stays in my car with my radio transmitter so i dont have to listen to stupid radio
8/5/2009 10:58:55 PM
^^ I usually just bring in my earbuds, plug them into the TV on the treadmill, and watch Sportscenter.plus I usually work out with a friend, so we talk
8/5/2009 11:00:25 PM
this is where you say i love you and fuck her in the butt. then download lots of porn on it.
8/5/2009 11:00:38 PM
Go down on her.
8/5/2009 11:01:15 PM
i go down on her almost every night
8/5/2009 11:03:22 PM
Tell her thanks then come to Raleigh and bang me.
8/5/2009 11:04:26 PM
lolnothing says thank you like banging another chick
8/5/2009 11:05:28 PM
Nothing says thank you for not evaluating my life before buying me a gift I will barely use like banging another chick
8/5/2009 11:07:25 PM
I can almost guarantee i will get addicted to this thing. it is the best present that i never needed but i never knew i needed but now that i have it i will realize how badly i needed it.

Way to flip flop son

If you can hook it up to your car stereo, I recommend that. Transfer all your CDs to the nano. You can also listen to podcasts. If you work in an office you can play it to drown out background noise while you work.
8/5/2009 11:31:07 PM
i used mine almost all day when i was doing a co-op last year. i also can't go running without it because i hate listening to my own thoughts and the sound of my breathing.
8/5/2009 11:34:48 PM
i guess it depends on how much you listen to music. My ipod gets used a TON. its playing in my car anytime im driving, im listening to it most of the day at work, im using it at the gym etc.
8/5/2009 11:37:12 PM
^
8/5/2009 11:45:57 PM
My ipod sits in my car. I still have a tape player in my car, so I have that tape-headphone jack thing so my ipod plays in there. I have cds too, but it's nice to have all my music in one place--especially on long trips. If I want to sing, or rock out to techno, or listen to comedy, whatever.
8/5/2009 11:48:20 PM
i'm wondering when my apple boycott will finally end.
8/5/2009 11:53:22 PM
I don't like iPods. They compete with the voices in my head.
8/5/2009 11:56:49 PM
before i had an ipod, i felt the same way. now i can't live without it. having your whole music collection at your fingertips is awesome. plus going to "ipod world" really helps pass the time at work sometimes. (there's minimal social interaction at my office. i can go all day with "good morning... hey its lunchtime... see you tomorrow" being the extent of the conversation for the whole day.)

It's nice on a long trip. A few months ago I drove out to Nashville and when I couldn't find an NPR station or any station at all (as was often the case in the mountains) I just listened to the iPod.
8/6/2009 12:40:59 AM
I can fit almost my entire CD collection on a standard iPod, and it can go with me anywhere. Why carry 3,500 CDs when you can carry something that's smaller than a deck of cards?
8/6/2009 3:08:00 AM
never felt the need for an ipod as my last 2 cell phones played music and videos......
8/6/2009 6:49:19 AM
Punch her in the cunt and dump her for trying to turn you into a macfag.
8/6/2009 7:51:51 AM
i don't use an mp3 player much, either (my car stereo has a USB port...why bother hooking up an ipod when you can just throw it on a flash drive?)but i'm glad i have one for the rare cases when i WANT it...then again, mine's a sansa with rockbox, so it's better than any other mp3 player out there
8/6/2009 8:07:17 AM
once my sirius subscription is up my iPod classic will be the only thing playing in my truck.i love having my entire collection at my fingertips.
8/6/2009 8:12:12 AM
I wonder if eric made this thread just to see what kind of retarded answers he got. Obviously use it in your car! I never listen to the radio anymore, just my trusty 80gig iPod.

im pretty sure that my IPOD that i bought off of craigs list was stolen but hey, i got a 2gen 16G touch for $160
8/6/2009 10:05:23 AM
a stolen IPOD huh?you should put music on it (that you already have), podiobooks (http://www.podiobooks.com free audio books in podcast form), and anything else you find relevant. podiobooks are good for long highway drives alone or when your passenger(s) is/are asleep.as for mowing the lawn you're gonna have to blast it to hear it and that's worse for your hearing than the mowing to begin with... unless you have one of them fancy pants noise canceling headphones[Edited on August 6, 2009 at 10:13 AM.
