The polaroid

Fuck this shit is baller. Instant pictures. All you have to do is shake that shit and wait like a few minutes. Years of research and human design ingenuity all wraped into a little greyish black box. This thread goes out to you.

you don't, and have never had to, shake it.

You're NOT supposed to shake it, if anything.

I keep wondering what all those restaurants are going to do when people have a birthday and wear the funny hat or eat the 4LB burger & fries in under 30 minutes.

^ digital camera, print out on the printer that is in the office...probably takes the same amount of time

i agree, though...the loss of the polaroid is tragic...it was (is!) iconic

Polaroid film captured many oscilloscope traces that would have been lost in time otherwise.

<3 scope cameras.

they have a digital polaroid camera now... so you can preview and then instant print. I think that is pretty neat, but i wonder how much the ink/paper for it costs

I really like the way a polaroid picture looks. I bet the digital version looks quite a bit more crisp.

sigh, since they are discontinuing production themselves makes you wonder why they don't license the format out to smaller companies that would continue to make small amounts of the film

There are small companies still making it. Probably expensive though due to poor economy of scale.

no one would believe a digital picture in this day and age. However show someone a Polaroid and everyone would believe it.
