IIRC, IMStoned420 made a pretty funny thread telling us about weird shit that his roommate did

after about 490543 pages of lulz, the roommates webcam link was posted. we all watched as he did weird shit. after about 4.5 more pages of lulz, Big Business sent the link of the TWW thread to the roommate

roommate joined TWW to say '...I wish IMStoned420 had just talked to me instead'

thread got 86ed

the lulz stopped

then this was made: /message_topic.aspx?topic=551716

I do math for a living. It's the last subject in the world you want to argue with me about.

unless you're trolling, in which case it's the best subject in the world to argue with me about

v right-o

i wasn't arguing with you... it was more like a,

"whatever dude, i learned that shit in 9th grade geometry [so don't give me too much shit if i don't actually remember it]"

kind of thing

geometry was always one of the more interesting math classes. i was always able to do the proofs quickly and in the fewest amount of steps. lots of 4s.

i guess that directly relates to my leet programming skills

Yeah lol. I took like 2 classes in high school, one on infinity/zero the other on geometry proofs just for shits and giggles. Turns out i'm in EE. gg

im gonna be taking some sort of math class in the spring semester when i start the end of my degree... but since i never took anything past 141 in college (was in CSC for a year then switched to BUS and took 121 and the one hour go-along class, i think 132)

point is, since i only have 2 calc classes on my transcript that are about the same class, i wont be able to do anything with awesome proofs i dont think. and i love proofs

yeah man that shit is cool.

But sometimes i get bummed out because math only works because its more or less created to work, and isn't really anything in and of itself. But looking through proofs of shit like eulers formula blows my mind that people could be that bored genious back in the day.

^
that's the wonderful thing about math...it really is something. sum_(i=1...n) 1/n goes to infinity as n increases, whereas sum_(i=1...n) 1/n^2 gets arbitrarily close to (pi^2)/6, but never exceeds or even reaches it. These are indisputable matters of fact, and were discovered, not invented. It's not a tangible world, but it's definitely a real one.

I pay something like $1400/year for school, and my TA covers that and the cost of living quite amply

with the money I earn, I buy food, shelter, beer, etc.

if that's not a living, I don't know what is

put that in your pipe and smoke it
