Tom Arnold doesn't perform live well from a script.

I thought his material was really good, though. He's a good joke writer.

I'd say the best of the roast were Greg Giraldo, Gilbert Gottfried, and Tom Arnold.

i think Gottfried was the best, he was just ridiculous and relentless. nobody was really all that bad, that chick that no one knows (cummings or something), i thought was pretty funny, i believe she called Greg Giraldo the Jeffery Ross of comedy, i liked that line, and Joan Rivers i thought was pretty damn funny.

i wasn't too impressed at first but when i watched it again, the jokes were funnier, i'd say the jokes that pushed the boundaries the most were aimed at that robin girl, ie "you always whine about your dad molesting you, well you should be lucky your father touched you at all"
