whole deal runs about 40 bucks

i got one at food lion, it cleaned well. i put near-boiling water from the stove in it to help out, since that was one of the complaints online about them

putting hot water in makes it easier for the internal heater to actually steam the carpet.

we used a bunch of coupons at bed, bath, and beyond to buy a steam cleaner a while back. it was well worth the investment.

Yes, I've used it.
Cost about $30 at Home Depot, but you really should buy the carpet cleaner solution that goes in it too.
Yes, it was worth it.

just got one from food lion

i got the carpet cleaner, and definitely get a couple bottles of the high traffic pre-treatment

i didnt use boiling water cuz it said not to on the instructions ( ) but it still cleaned up the cat vomit areas and the dirt real well, in just two or three passes

just remember to start well ahead of the target area, it takes a second for the steamer to actually start vacuuming each time you stop

^yeah, someone on the internet said they did it. the directions do say to not put boiling water into it, so don't do that

Ours was disgusting too. I changed the lighting so I fucked up the before and after, but here's what I was able to do. Of course, I did use the default amount of soap solution (enough to clean the entire apartment) for just the living room, but it was necessary.
