^I think they're the same, and if so tzatziki is the correct word.

Also, the vendor that sells gyros on Glenwood South late night on weekends...they suck. Unfortunately nobody else around sells them

Slave, you're in Charlotte, right?

Try this place called "Cluckers" in McMullen creek off of pineville-matthews rd (hwy 51). Authentic greek joint. Excellent gyros.

dude Jasmin isn't that great. And to say that it's better than Neomonde makes you look foolish.

Neomonde doesn't even serve gyros.

In the things they do both serve, Neomonde wins hands down.

Neomonde is a far better restaurant, but they don't serve gyros as someone said. Jasmin has the best gyro I have had in this area (the one on Hillsborough Street at least). They actual have a couple of auto doners they slice the meat off of, so the meat is delicious. Most places don't seem to get that part right.

Need some doner kebab up in this bitch, though.

i could dominate a gyro right now. it's sort of crazy how different "authentic" gyros in america are from the real thing.

greece - generally pork, sometimes chicken, almost never lamb or beef. consists of a bunch of slices of meat on a spit rather than a loaf. a lot of them are served with fries on the gyro.

america - lamb, lamb/pork loaf

both are delicious!

I didn't say there was anything WRONG with Jasmin....it's just not that great. Nothing spectacular.

Also, to say that it is better than Neomonde is ridiculous. Though Neomonde doesn't have a gyro, they do have a delicious shwarma that is better than Jasmin's gyro.
