Is that like... hard rock on a cello?
8/14/2009 6:30:54 PM
nothing else matters plays in the end?
8/14/2009 6:51:19 PM
pretty awesome. the metallica on cello was sweet. i feel like it would be more powerful if you could understand the lyrics to the songs.
8/14/2009 8:08:37 PM
that really was very impressive. but like everyone else was saying in other comments, it must be the music that made people cry. or i have no soul
8/14/2009 8:20:54 PM
pretty impressive.

maybe a lot of people in russia(?) die...in wars and stuff, so we wouldnt really understand. and yeah the words to the songs might help

It's in the Ukraine, and she "signs" her sand painting in the very end with 1945, so it's likely a pictographic development of WWII and the conditions in-country due to WWII from start to finish. It might've been WWI then WWII as I thought I saw a couple of wars and a nice bit of peace in the middle. The music definitely would've been much more powerful in person (as it always is, our pussy ass speakers don't compete to being in a studio with an orchestra dropping science on our plebe asses).

8/14/2009 9:45:16 PM
You're saying that it's not incredibly well orchestrated?
8/14/2009 9:57:08 PM

i love the "nothing else matters" at about 6:30

im aware phenomenal is very strong, thats why i used it. between the mixing of drawing techniques and attention to detail, the order of drawing figures for maximum impact (the final scene), transitions, the music, blending the art and music, plus the girls emotion makes it so much stronger.
