If so, who preceded you? I'm curious as to how many of are legacies, and to what degree. Just me and my dad.

I guess if I ever go to Wake Tech, I could be a legacy.
8/14/2009 10:53:36 PM

^^^that's really cool^^haha I'm not saying I (or other legacies) are any better than anyone, just wondering who's got the longest running "tradition" if you even want to call it that. [Edited on August 14, 2009 at 10:58 PM. Reason : .]

ivy league or not, I think it's really special to have gone where your parents went. It's really nice to hear about what state was like back in the day. honestly, I went to State because my dad went there and I'd be honored if my children follow suit but not offended if they didn't

My grandfather went to NCSU. Wrestled and played a little baseball. Closest thing I've had to a dad, so it counts to me. His brother also went to NCSU. They were farmers.

I was, just not a legacy graduate. My grandfather got his masters in agriculture in '48, and my dad got his bachelors in computer science in '75. I may finish something by 2047 at the rate I'm going.
8/15/2009 9:34:15 AM
nope.

Grandfather was Professor of Art at some college in New Jersey, Mom was an art student there maybe but didn't graduate. Dad was a Marine, none of this family went to college.Guess Art + Military = Engineering

My dad and I both got degrees in Animal Science with the intent of going to Vet school and we both just gave up on life and ended up working for the state.

Both my parents went to Atlantic Christian College, so no way to have a legacy, unless you would count Barton, but that doesn't matter because my sister and I both went to NCSU. And I think my brother is going to as well. He's a UNC fan, because his mother and grandparents are all Tarheels. (His grandparents have lifetime gold circle seats to the dean dome and their name on a plaque somewhere in the dean dome and his mom got her Bachelor, Masters, and PhD at Carolina.) All the Spell grandchildren would be going to school on their grandparents' dime if they went to UNC, but so far they have had one go to NCSU, one go to ECU, and my brother wants to be an engineer, so that's another NCSU there. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure my brother is going to be one of those State students that wears their UNC hat or Hoodie at all times. [Edited on August 15, 2009 at 12:25 PM.
