2:45? That's way down from when you got stuck on the way out while being born.

Duh guys, didn't you know you can't die from holding your breath? Once you pass out from lack of oxygen you'll just start breathing again!

Haha, I remember always saying that to friends when they wanted to do that and someone would freak out and say that someone might die.

No one will die, but someone might suffer some brain damage.

I don't think there's any risk of further brain damage here.

i warm up for about 3 minutes before i go. take super deep controlled breathing

and i dont start counting until about 5 seconds after i take my intial inhale and push more in through closing the lips and gulping it down

maybe i'm just imagining things, but i literally can feel my heart slowing down. you begin to feel the beat in your chest(cause its so full of air)

Actually I heard that if you hyperventilate first then it's easier to hold your breath longer. You have less CO2 in you so you're not wanting to gasp for air.

I saw this on discovery channel I think when I was watching something about someone who did super deep dives with no air tank.

hold your breath under water with a few cinder blocks over your head

Be careful hyperventilating and holding your breath, especially in water. Its possible to pass out and drown.

Hyperventilating removes most of the CO2 from your blood. The CO2 in your blood is what gives you the urge to breath again. This is why its easier to hold your breath after hyperventilating.

you have to work up to it. your body calms itself down and uses progressively less oxygen i guess. it felt like i was doing that thing Batman can do where he pretty much dies but can revive himself because he's the fucking batman
