maybe b/c philosophy is so awesome! (wishful thinking from a philosophy major )

Which philosophy is it? PHI 340 Philosophy of Science is usually the only one that seems like its taken by a lot of people b/c I think its required for some non philosophy majors... whereas a lot of people who study philosophy for their degree never take that class.

Whichever class it is, I might show up for the first class just so as not to get behind & tell the prof if they ask that you're still trying to add it. I seem to recall ways of manually adding yourself to a class if the prof & department would allow it, but its been while.

It is taken because it is an easy A+ with online tests that haven't change in the past 10 years, a 26 point curve and you never have to go to class.

^^^^ he basically nudged the guy next to him, pointed to my half page of notes and both of them started laughing. I smiled at him and kept on writing. I have a 3.5 gpa. I'm pretty confident in my not failing out of college skills.

plus it was 8am and I was tired so forcing myself to write shit kept me awake.

My earliest class HI 364 starts at 11:45 and my HI 478 class starts at 3:00, so I have it pretty easy. I'm glad I failed the midterm in my class last fall and dropped a class in the spring. The classes I am taking this semester are more interesting.

My class on Darwinism & Christianity is essentially divided like this:

1st row - Religious studies majors
2nd row - Biology majors
3rd row - mixed zoology and entomology
4th row - uptight Christians who claim to have signed up for the class for "provocative discussion"
5th & 6th rows - mixed new freshmen who don't know what they are getting themselves into and lazy upperclassmen who will drop by the end of september

I signed up for that Christianity class once... Dropped it 10 minutes after I left the first class. A class filled with bible thumpers and atheists turned into a exploding bomb the first day of class as people started yelling their opinion everywhere. I'm just sitting in the back trying to avoid the shrapnel.

I went to Philosophies 205, 214, and 221 yesterday and the professors were adamant about not adding people to the class if they weren't already enrolled.

Fortunately one of my waitlists came through earlier today phew.

My NC History class is maxed out and there are about 10 other people trying to get in. LOL!

The bad news is that we have to take 3 tests and don't have to write a paper. I like classes with no tests and papers that count at least 40% of the grade.

I have 2 classes that both only have a midterm and a final paper. Single assignments being worth 50% and leaving no room for mistakes ftl

^That isn't a bad deal. I've just learned the only way you can get a bad grade on a paper is if you don't do it. Most teachers who didn't like the papers I have wrote in the past still gave me a C.
