I think you're right to want it changed, but you should just pony up the five bucks and start over. Hint: Don't put any variant of "little," "babe," "girl," "lady," "State," "wolf," or "pack" in your name, nor any number likely to change or lose meaning (e.g. your age).

If all the original stats of the user account were saved (post count and registration date), I think it would be a good idea.

You'd want to set the price high enough that you don't get inundated with requests. It could actually be a good source of revenue for the site.

probably not actually. after the initial hype, it would be rarely used (except for by BubbleBobble) and would probably end up confusing people not familiar with the process, or pissing off noobs with 3 posts who don't want to use their unity id as their username, but don't want to pay the fee to change it cus they've only been registered a week
